Tech Advances, Including AI, Are Enabling Faster, More Accurate Pathological Assessments of Cancer; Recent Progress Reported at AACR Annual Meeting

During the AACR Educational Session Pathology for Cancer Researchers on Saturday, April 9, a panel of pathologists reviewed the important and evolving role of pathology in cancer research and discussed how advances in technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), are improving the accuracy and specificity of tumor assessment. The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting, was held April 8-13 in New Orleans. This pathology Education Session, and other meeting sessions, can be viewed on the virtual platform by registered meeting participants through July 13, 2022. Registration can be done here. Over 19,000 scientists and physicians registered for this premier cancer conference, with ~80% (~15,200) attending in person and ~20% (~3,800) attending virtually.
