A spectacular 5-day biology meeting ended on Monday, October 3, with a number of scintillating presentations that were typical of what was presented throughout this outstanding conference. It was the joint annual meeting of the American Society for Exosomes and Microvesicles (ASEMV) and the American Association for Extracellular Vesicles (AAEV). The conference was organized by Stephen Gould, PhD, President of the ASEMV, Professor of Biological Chemistry, Johns Hopkins Medicine; and Raghu Kalluri, MD, PhD, President of the AAEV, Department Chair, Department of Cancer Biology, MD Anderson Cancer Center; together with their respective teams. BioQuick News will be posting detailed highlights from the meeting over the next few days. Be sure to check these out as the progress in exosomes/EVs has been tremendous and their future impact, particularly in medicine, might be immeasurable.
