Precision Medicine World Conference 2024 (Jan 24-26) Opens in Silicon Valley

With 2,500 high-level attendee from 35 countries and 90 exhibitors, the Precision Medicine World Conference (PMWC) 2024 (January 24-26) opened on Wednesday, January 24, in Silicon Valley, with award presentations in four of the multiple topic tracks. In the “Cell and Gene Therapies for Rare Diseases” track, Katherine High, MD, of Rockefeller University was recognized with a Pioneer Award for her ground-breaking work in developing a gene therapy for hemophilia that has paved the way for the development of other gene therapies. Timothy Yu, MD, PhD, of Boston Children’s Hospital, was recognized in the same session with a Pioneer Award for his exceptional work in developing personalized gene therapies for individuals with rare genetic disorders.
