Alcohol and tobacco use are associated with increased “epigenetic age” in adults and heavy alcohol use in men was associated with increased epigenetic age acceleration in their offspring, according to new research presented on October18, 2021 by Wei Zhao, PhD, an Assistant Research Scientist at the University of Michigan, at the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting.
