On July 12, 2021, The American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) named Sharon Terry, MA, as the 2021 recipient of the Society’s Advocacy Award. Terry is President and CEO of the Genetic Alliance, an organization engaging individuals, families, and communities to transform health. The Genetic Alliance works to provide programs, products, and tools for ordinary people to take charge of their health and to further biomedical research. The award will be officially presented during the ASHG’s 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting (October 18-22).
